Save Our Multiply : Petition

Don't terminate Multiply's social networking

After Multiply's eight years of social networking and as a place for blogging, photo sharing, and many others, today (August 7, 2012) the new CEO of Multiply Stefan Magdalinski, who have hold the post for merely 4 months, decided mercilessly to terminate the social networking features of Multiply. All content-sharing features in Multiply (photo-sharing, video-sharing, blogging, social-messaging, etc) will automatically be terminated as well!

*You can read his statement here: http://multiply.multiply.com/notes/item/5 or in mobile version (faster) http://multiply.com/m/item/multiply:notes:5

Do you feeling sad, hurt, betrayed, and kicked out, don't you? Maybe that's what all of us thinking right now, wondering at how they could've decided to eliminate it just like that! The management of Multiply must, once again MUST REALIZE that Multiply can be what it is now because of our fellow users who have made good use of Multiply's social networking features!!

Without us, there's no way Multiply could be a huge community and expanded all the way from Florida to South East Asia (specifically Indonesia and the Phillippines). So, where's your respect?

Don't ever think that it would be that easy, Mr. Magdalinski!

it's not like Reversing palms Mr. Magdalinski!

We have no objection to the addition of online-seller features in Multiply, because as a matter of fact there is a synergy between those who only use the social networking features and the online-sellers. We, the users of the social networking features, are the potential market for the online sellers. Your decision is like building a big fully-furnished shopping mall in the middle of the jungle. Who'd you expect to be the buyers? The wild animals? This is also the main concern of Multiply's online sellers because Multiply is practically throwing their potential buyers out of the window.

Besides, this is OUR COUNTRY. How can Multiply simply ignore us when they are expecting to make money out of people who staying here? Why the unwise attitude instead of positive feedback to us?

All we can simply see this as another form of colonialism, you know. We feel like being oppressed in OUR OWN COUNTRY, being squeezed dry, in the name of BUSINESS!

Here we are, all users of Multiply, bloggers and sellers or even non Multiply Users, are united. We all demand you to revoke your decision of terminating Multiply's social networking, blogging, and content-sharing features. We refuse to let any outsider interference to divide us, the Multiply bloggers and The Multiply Online sellers.

We are inviting all Multiply users, bloggers and sellers to stand United, to keep defying the decision of this newly appointed CEO. Your supports may be able to alter the present condition. We decide our own destiny. Let's support any movement for this cause, whatever form and shape it takes. Support every single one of them properly, even if it means boycotting Multiply, making petition, or even purchasing Multiply itself.

Did You Thank Allah for Your Eyesight?

Did You Thank Allah for Your Eyesight?

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."

What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it."

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

"It is He, Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), sight (eyes), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give." [surah Al-Mu'minun; 78]

Allahu Musta'aan - Allah is the One whose Help is Sought

Allahu Musta'aan - Allah is the One whose Help is Sought.

Signs of weak Iman:

1) Committing sins and not feeling any guilt.

2) Having a hard heart and no desire to read the Quraan.

3) Feeling lazy to do good deeds, e.g. being late for salaat.

4) Neglecting the Sunnah.

5) Having mood swings, for instance being upset about petty things and being bothered and irritated most of the time.

6) Not feeling anything when hearing verses from the Quraan, for instance when Allah warns us of punishments and his promise of glad tidings.

7) Finding difficulty in remembring Allah and making zikr (rememberence of Allah).

8) Not feeling bad when things are done against the Shariah.

9) Having a desire for status.

10) Being mean and miserly, i.e. not wanting to part with health.

11) Ordering to do good deeds when we are not practising them ourselves.

12) Feeling pleased when things are not progressing for others.

13) People bothering about whether something is haram or halal only; and not avoiding makhru (not recommended) things.

14) Making fun of people who do simple good deeds, like cleaning the mosque.

15) When not feeling concerned about the situation of Muslims.

16) Not feeling the responsibility to do something to promote Islam.

17) Being unable to deal with calamities, for instance crying and yelling in funerals.

18) Liking to argue just for the sake of arguing without any proof.

19) Becoming engrossed and very involved for dunyah, i.e. wordly things, for instance feeling bad when losing something in terms of material wealth.

20) Becoming engrossed and obsessive in ourselves

WAYS TO INCREASE OUR IMAN:

1) Recitation and pondering on the meanings of the Quraan. Tranquility then descends and our heart becomes soft. To get optimum benefit, remind ourselves that Allah is speaking to us. People are described in different categories in the Quraan; think in which of them do we find ourselves

2)Realise the greatness of Allah. Everything is under his control. There are signs in everything we see that points us to his greatness. Everythings happen according to his permission. Allah keeps track and looks after everything, even a black ant on a blact rock ina dark moonless night.

3) To make an effort to gain knowledge, at least the basic things in daily life e.g. how to make the wudu properly. To know the meaning behind Allah's name and attributes. People who have taqwah are those who have knowledge.

4) To attend gatherings where Allah is remembered. In such gatherings we are surrounded by angels.

5) We have to increase our good deeds. One good deed leads to another good deed. Someone who gives charity, Allah will make way for him or her to do good deeds easy for that person. Good deeds must be done continuously, not in spurts.

6) We must fear a miserable end of our life; the rememderance of death is the destroyer of pleasures

7) To remember the different levels of akhirah, for instance when we are put in our graves, when we are jugded, whether we are in paradise or hell.

8) Make duah, realise that we need Allah. Be humble. Not to have much hope for wordly things in this life

9) Our love for Subhanahu Wa Ta'Allah must be shown in actons. We must hope Allah will accept our prayers, and be in constant fear that we do wrong. At night before going to sleep, we must think what good did we do during the day.

10) Realise the effects of sins and disobediance- ones imaan is increased with good deeds and our imaan is decreased by bad deeds. Everything that happens is because Allah wanted it. When calamity befalls us- it is also from Allah. It is a direct result of our disobediance to Allah.

White Chocolate Cranberries Cookies Review

Today I had the pleasure of tasting one of my all-time favourites - white chocolate cranberries cookies. These cookies feature the finest white chocolate and best antioxidant fruit, cranberries.

Combining the best of both worlds - white chocolate and cranberries - the taste was delightful and the first bite brings with it a crispy crunch that almost melt in your mouth.

It can be a tad sweet for some. This is probably due to the extra white chocolate in the cookies. However upon request, this can be adjusted to suit your taste bud. But for others like yours truly, and I find it affordably priced too, this is simply perfect, for almost most occasions and festivities. Highly-recommended.

Overall - 4.5/5 Stars

Hope for Syria

Assalamu 'Alaikum waRahmatullahi waBarakatuh

All Praise Belongs to Allah (swt), and May the Salah and Salam of Allah (swt) be upon our beloved Messenger(saw).

Over the last several months our brothers and sisters in Syria have been going through change, a change which none of us are able to grasp, a change which is not within their control. They are going through absolute injustice and brutal massacres under an oppressive tyrannical regime. With the death toll rising, during this difficult and disastrous situation the Muslims in Syria are facing it has compelled us to call out to you all, as Allah tells us in the Quran:

"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do." [Qur'an 5:8]

Allah is calling upon you and I and all the believers around the world to stand up in prayer and seek His Help and Justice for the oppression happening in Syria.

Screen shot 2011 08 01 at 17.39.44 An Update from SyriaOur plea to you brothers and sisters is they need you, and a day may come when we are in need; so do not think twice - take action and stand up for justice in Syria. We are doing a fundraising and awareness campaign for them, you can contribute here:http://www.justgiving.com/hopeforsyria

Here is a video account of the sufferings imposed to its people by its oppressive ruler:

To donate please visit http://www.justgiving.com/hopeforsyria

It is an obligation upon us all individually and as a community to support them in any way we possibly can. The Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has told us that this Ummah is like a strong support structure and like one body, if one part aches then the whole Ummah should ache. Are we in agony for the Muslims who are being slaughtered and killed for nothing but their faith, for saying their Lord is Allah? What crime have they committed?

Screen shot 2011 08 01 at 17.39.57 An Update from SyriaThousands have fled to neighbouring countries, many empty handed. Human Appeal have distributed emergency aid packages to each of these 150 families at a cost of $100. These packages provided refugees with vital supplies during the harrowing experience of fleeing their homes and countries in fear of violence. It is estimated that at least 10,000 people have fled Syria, but there is so much work still to be done.

Do not let this day of yours pass before taking action on the below 5:

1. Raise awareness

2. Write to your government

3. Stand up in prayer

4. Give Charity - http://www.justgiving.com/hopeforsyria

5. Raise your hands in Dua

We call only upon Allah by His Beautiful Names and Attributes to remove the Muslims in Syria and all Muslims around the world from their calamities. He is the one who is able to do so, the All-Capable. We ask to Allah (swt) to bring to justice those who can commit such crime against humanity. Ameen

Jazakumullahu Khayran! & please forward this email to all your contacts to help build awareness.

Wassalaamu 'Alaikum waRahmathullahi waBarakaathuhu.
