Free online courses by five top US varsities
Students won't get credits but may get job recommendation

WASHINGTON: Five prestigious US universities will create free online courses for students worldwide through a new interactive education platform dubbed Coursera, the founders announced yesterday.
The two founders, both professors of computer science at Stanford University, also announced that they had received US$16 million (S$20 million) in financing from two Silicon Valley venture capital firms.
